Catfish John 03:23
Catfish John ( John Tisdell ) got his "stage name" given to him when his long time friend Richard Baker saw him swimming in an algae covered pond in North Carolina. Richard thought he looked like a catfish coming up out of the pond with algae covering his body and long hair and beard. Since he knew the song "Catfish John" by the Grateful Dead he started calling him that and the nick- name stuck.

about

A collection of old time songs played on acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo and mandolin. There are some traditional blues and country songs and even a little bit of yodeling. Most of the music was recorded in the 80's as part of John's radio show he hosted on KUFM at the University of Montana. "Deep River Blues" and "Little Red Rooster", were recorded later in Hawaii after he moved there in 1991. This album was originally released as a two CD set.
