This album features Catfish John and Friends playing early blues, folk and jug band style songs on acoustic instruments. These include guitar, mandolin, dobro, harmonica, kazoo, and washboard to name a few. Some songs were recorded at KUFM at the University of Montana as part of John's radio show, others were recorded live in concerts at various locations and a couple were recorded with friends "on the road" as Catfish John toured the west coast.

Since his first public performances in the early 70's in Denver, Catfish has toured the country both as a solo artist and in bands performing in clubs, coffeehouses, music festivals and concerts. His favorite style of music is a combination of Blues & Rock. He has performed in bands ranging from traditional blues and folk to more modern rock and roll. He lived on Maui for 30 years and windsurfs. ... more
